White Slip Cups

These cups were another experiment with printing stamps onto ceramic vessels. What I tried differently with these cups was painting on slip during the leather hard stage. I wanted to see if the slip as a background would allow the blue and red underglaze to be more colorful once they were glaze-fired. I am incredibly pleased with how these cups turned out once they were stamped, glazed, and fired.
