Exploration of Printing Stamps onto Mugs

Over a period of two semesters, I focused on developing a sophisticated glazing program that allowed me to print hand-carved stamps onto ceramic vessels. As someone who enjoys both printmaking and ceramics, I wanted to combine both techniques. I experimented with printing stamps on top of glazes as well as underneath glazes using three different colors of Amaco velvet underglaze. I experimented with a variety of glazes and glaze combinations until I found a process that worked for me.
